Henry L. "Bud" Herr 74 of the Bend area, died Tuesday December 19, 2000 at Crawford Memorial Hospital Robinson following an apparent heart attack at home.

He was born November 25, 1926 in the Bend area of Jasper County, Illinois. Henry was the son of William Henry & Marie (Hentgen) Herr. On June 21, 1952 he married Virginia Goss who survives. He was employed at the Newton Broom Factory, Newton, Jasper County Highway Department and Henry retired in 1996 from Roadmaster working in the machine department. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife Virginia; 1 son & daughter-in-law William "Bill" & Margie Herr; 1 daughter & son-in-law Bonnie & Donnie Kraus; 6 grandchildren Timothy L. Kraus, Dawn M. Kraus, Kenneth F. Kraus, Adam K, Herr, Cortney L. Herr and Ethan W. Herr; 2 Step grandchildren Gwen Golden & Dustin Biggs; 1 Step Great grandson Tristan Overvig; 2 sisters Evelyn Stoltz & Mildred York; several nieces and nephews also survive. Henry was preceeded in death by his parents, 3 Brothers (Pete, Morris & George); and 4 sisters (Viola, Mary Elizabeth, Annie & Lillie)
